Haven't posted in awhile, and I have lots to say, but I won't put it all into one long boring (most-probably) blog, I'll do you all a favour (by all I mean Graeme) and break it up.
To get me following with ranting or rambling or whatever I call it, I'll start with the many films I've watched over the past few weeks.
First of the cinema goings...
Terminator 4 (or as they call it Salvation). This is kind of a prequel, but not, it is set in the future so we understand the past. John Conner has rescue and send his teenage father, who doesn't know he's his father to the past. So he can save his mother and inpreganant her with John. So he can then save the future. It sounds confusing, but McG has made it in such a way that it's both stupid and boring. The only part I enjoyed was trying to guess which scene Christian Bale screamed and DOP.
Granted the SFX were good, but you expect that. Although it did look like a gritty Transformers. I actually didn't mind Bale's performance, he can do much better, but compared to the rest of the cast he was alright. Sam Worthington was however terrible, one of the worst performances I've seen. Talking about terrible the end, woah what a stinker. If you do go see it leave after the disappointing fight, because it gets really cheesy and bad.
Drag Me To Hell. This was absolutely brilliant, one of the best western horrors for the last 10-15 years. It's a must see at the cinema because the sound is that good!!!!

This is taking too long, i'll try and sum up each film in one sentence or less. With a out of 10 score. Much more readable.
CINEMA...
Terminator Salvation: Cheesy predictable hollywood shite. 4/10
Drag Me To Hell: Loud, proud and loving it. Must see at the cinema. 8/10
Star Trek: I heard someone call it Star Trek the O.C years. Correct, wasn't for me. 5/10
Transformers 2: Trashy entertainment. 4/10
BLU RAY...
Benjamin Button: Saw this at the cinema, my previous blog mentioned i liked it. Just as good on BR, with tons of special features. 8.5/10
Bolt: Not Disney's best of the last few years, but still a treat to watch. 7/10
Taken: Over the top action film, that brought back nostalgia of the 80's/early 90's action films I liked as a kid. 6/10
He's Just Not That Into You: Watch with the Girlfriend, suppose to be a romcom, but very depressing. As a Romcom 3/10 As a Drama 5/10, only just watchable.
DVD...
Midnight Sting: Watched this years ago late night on TV, found it on PLAY.COM for £2.99. Great, simple fun. 7/10
Little Shop of Horrors: Never seen this cult classic musical, another PLAY.COM £2.99 bargin. Really enjoyed it, wouldn't mind re-making it (I mean re-envision it) at some point in my career. 8/10
Boogie Nights: Good sexy fun. Reminded me why I want to make movies, after watching all that Hollywood junk at the cinema I started having second thoughts. 8/10
American Psycho: I had never seen the film that put Bale on the map, And I loved it. One hell of a performance from Bale, shame he made T4. 9/10
A Complete History Of My Sexual Failures: A decent Documentary, although I do think some of it was staged. One of the best films i've seen funded with Yorkshire money. Weldone. 7/10
I've most probably forgotten a few, but thats a given when you watch so many films. All them are probably over the last two weeks. Then I wonder where my time goes and why I don't sleep.
Gran Torino for tonight, and i've got a load more cheap purchases to watch.
